6.1 Your Attorney or Legal Representative

We will liaise directly with your appointed attorney or legal representative to verify and administer your RAF claim and advance. Sharing of information with your attorney is authorised by your mandate and the discounting agreement.

6.2 The Road Accident Fund

Where necessary to verify settlement details or administer the advance, we may engage with the RAF directly, subject to your authorisation.

6.3 Service Providers

Third-party companies that process information on our behalf under our instruction, including:

  • Banking and payment service providers (for disbursement of advance funds)
  • Cloud hosting, IT, and document management
  • Legal and compliance advisors

6.4 Legal and Regulatory Authorities

We may disclose personal information where required by law, regulation, court order, or any other competent authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of weDiscount or others.

7. Retention of Personal Information

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law. Typical retention periods include:

  • Advance agreement and client records: 5 years from the date the advance is repaid or the agreement terminates, in line with financial and contractual record-keeping requirements
  • Marketing data: until consent is withdrawn or data is no longer required

Upon expiry of the applicable retention period, personal information will be securely destroyed or de-identified..

8. Your Rights Under POPIA

As a data subject, you have the following rights:
